2010 Pollie Award Categories

Pollie LogoHailed as the "Oscars of Political Advertising" the Pollies represent those engaged in the business of politics. With 238 categories the Pollie Awards offers an opportunity for both political consulting and public affairs professionals to achieve recognition. To win a Pollie is to be recognized by the brightest in the industry as the best. Winners, selected by a panel of their peers (judges) representing the industry's best campaigning experts, will be announced at the 19th Annual Pollie Awards in Phoenix, AZ. Winners represent the latest talent and techniques in this 8 billion dollar industry.



The 2010 Pollie Awards Contest will be awarded in four divisions:

  • Candidate Campaigns: Work created for a Candidate Campaign.
  • Ballot/initiative Campaigns: Work created for a Ballot/Initiative Campaign.
  • Public Affairs Campaigns: Work Created for a Public Affairs Campaign
  • Overall Campaigns: Work created for a Candidate, Ballot/Initiative or a Public Affairs Campaign.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for the 2010 competition, entries must have been produced, aired or screened between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. Work previously submitted for Pollie Awards is not eligible, with the exception of the "Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda" categories.

    Entrants must be directly responsible for the design, creation or production of their submissions. With the exception of Student Awards, all submissions must be created by professionals on behalf of their clients. Nonprofessional submissions will not be accepted.

    The AAPC reserves the right to move entries to more appropriate categories. Gold, Silver and Bronze Pollie Awards recognition may or may not be awarded in each category at the sole discretion of the judges. Pollie Awards entry fees are not refundable and material submitted is not returnable. Failure to comply with entry requirements will result in a disqualification of your entry.

Dates to Remember:
Dec. 10th - Apply to Judge
Feb. 3rd - Pollie Awards Contest Closes
Feb. 4th - Judge Applications Close
