Mike Mihalke
With almost two decades of experience in the political arena, Mike Mihalke leads Meridian Strategies clients with strategic, public relations, legislative, media, and grassroots consulting services. From his experience working with numerous members of the U.S. House and Senate, national and international corporate clients, trade associations, and political parties, Mihalke has been characterized as one of “the most innovative public affairs strategists” in the country.
Prior to forming Meridian Strategies, Mihalke was Partner of Brabender Cox Mihalke, a media and public affairs agency and served clients at the Alexander Strategy Group. He personally supervised public affairs accounts from creative development and execution of media campaigns, corporate branding efforts, media placement, public relations, reputation management, crisis communications and strategic public affairs consulting for clients.
Mike also pursues creative endeavors as Co-President of Squared Foot Productions, an LA-based independent film company. He has been credited as Executive Producer of feature films over the last two years, which have been highly acclaimed at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and screened at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
Prior to joining the private sector in 1995, Mr. Mihalke served as Director of Communications in the U.S. Senate. Between 1990 and 2002, Mr. Mihalke has managed and provided strategy for over 150 campaigns --- ranging from U.S. Senate, Governors and House elections to mayoral elections to initiatives and corporate branding and reputation management campaigns.
Mike began his career under Congressman Tom Ridge and went on to serve as Press Secretary in the U.S House of Representatives. Mike is a highest honor graduate from Pennsylvania State University. His insight on politics and media often appears in national publications and newscasts. His is a regular participant in lectures, seminars and campaign schools highlighting public affairs strategy, public relations, reputation management, media and grassroots.
Mike resides in Los Angeles, CA., with his wife, Julie, daughter, Amanda and son, Dylan.
