Christopher Arterton
F. Christopher Arterton (Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology) is dean of George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM). For 10 years, he taught in the Department of Political Science and in the School of Management at Yale University. He was a research fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University. Arterton served as polling consultant for Newsweek magazine for 10 years and, before that, provided strategic, public opinion advice to Democratic candidates at the state level in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He is the author of four books, including Media Politics and Teledemocracy. He teaches courses on the news media and political leadership and strategy. Arterton also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Campaign Finance Institute.
