Melissa Cressey, Pollie Conference Coordinator & Development Director
As unique as this organization is, so too is Melissa. With a round-trip ticket from Sweden, Melissa began work at the AAPC as an intern from American University's 'Washington Semester' program. On paper she was an intern, in the office she was the glue holding the machine together for the 2009 Pollie Awards contest.
A dual citizen, Melissa has worked hard to adapt the AAPC's image to a newer and younger group. Melissa graduated from Intern to Pollie Conference Coordinator & Development Director

Whitney Hurt, Membership Director
Hailing from Kentucky, Whitney always had an interest in politics.
After a series of serendipitous events landed her here in Washington D.C., Whitney began working for Rebecca Donatelli's, CDI. There she learned what really goes into making politics work-getting the officials elected! With her background of sales and management behind her, Whitney artfully sculpts and maintains the AAPC membership.
Whitney's tenacity and wit endears her to our members as well as our organization. If you've been to a political conference in the last year, odds are you've met Whitney. She works hard and is great at bolstering our membership roster and meeting the needs of our members.

As a recent graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland and George Washington's/ GSPM Semester in Washington program, Carrie has always had a fascination with technology, websites and communication programs as well as writing. As a double major in English and Political Science what better place to pursue her loves - both English and Politics than as a Communications Director of the AAPC?
At AAPC, Carrie designs email blasts, graphic projects, the AAPC's monthly newsletter and press releases which alert members of impending changes in legislation that may affect their business. Carrie also maintains the AAPC's website and social networking sites.
